> After nearly two weeks at sea the crew of Carina is still in high spirits and enjoying the rhythm of life at sea during an ocean crossing. The racing aspect makes the challenge more fun and each crew member swings by the nav table at every opportunity to "see" where the rest of the fleet is. I would be lying if I didn't say we enjoyed our moments in the sun while ahead of the fleet on the leader board as well as distance to the Lizard, but it has been almost as exciting to watch the fleet sail by with some truly impressive speed . Our best noon-noon run is 223 miles, which is perhaps a third of what Rambler and Puma are doing, great job guys..!. Yes we have run out of Grey Poupon, lettuce, eggs, fruit and good jokes. If anyone has some to spare we will gladly accept them should we meet in the parking lot we all will be enjoying soon.

> Someone aboard asked the question of how many transatlantic crossings had Carina done in her life? As the second oldest boat in the fleet after Nordwind, Carina has done more than we can remember. Any guesses from shoreside (or floating) Carina veterans?..
